Why do you want to be a teacher?

Wow, this is such a great question! To be honest, I don't want to be a teacher because I don't like anything about teaching. Plus, the reason that I hate being with people is one of the main reasons why I don't want to be a teacher. I hate people. People are cruel. People are selfish. People are not sincere. They are hypocritical!

For me, I’m not really sure that I still want to do this job or not. I will just answer the question why I am here in the faculty of Education. I grew up in the environment that surrounded with the teachers. Most of my family members are teach for living. When I was in grade 12, I didn’t know what I wanted to do, so I just entered to this faculty to do what I was familiar with.

Actually I don’t want to be a teacher. I think I’m not good enough to teach someone. I study here because I don’t know what I should be. I’m just doing my best and focusing on what I should do now.

I think most of the people who decide to learn at Education faculty are having parents work as a teacher or work for the government, and I am that girl. However, I think being a teacher is not a bad career because I think it is so satisfying when I explain something and people get it. So, I think being a teacher is a good idea for me. Not that bad income when compared with the other jobs that work for the government.

When I was young and studied in high school, I used to tutor some subject to my friend for examination. My friend told me that I can teach them and make them understand. Actually, I like English subject but I’m not good at. I don’t know what I will do a job in future. Even though, I’m not good at, but I like to learn and teach. I want to challenge myself. So, this reason that why I want to be a teacher.

The reason I wanted to be a teacher in the beginning was because I wanted to write on the board. It may sound funny, but it was a first reason. And for this reason, I become more interested in the teaching profession, so much so that I studied to be a teacher now. And when I grew up, I thought that teaching was a profession that allowed me to work with people of various ages, which other profession might not have. I really wanted to be a teacher because it was a profession that I liked since I was a child.

Honestly, I don't want to be a teacher but the reason that I study in the faculty of education is because my parent and my relatives want me to become one. I don't think I have the skills to become a good teacher. But in the end, I just need to strive in this profession and earn money to support my family.

From my personal experience when I was in elementary school. Even if I have studied in gifted program for 6 years in that interval, there is no teacher who can efficiently English to me and my friends. I have to take courses from another academic institution to gain English knowledge. For this reason, I wish that I can teach my student in such an effective way to make them be more comprehensible.

To be honest, I don’t think that being a teacher suits me. Since I was young I have liked to role play as a teacher and the student with my cousins. I like it a lot that I taught my daughter. At that moment I need to be a teacher. But when I grow up I don’t have any inspiration to be a teacher because teachers don't earn a lot of salary so I’m looking for a new career.
